Morning Remembrance

Abu Dawud 5068

اللَّهُمَّ بِكَ أَصْبَحْنَا وَبِكَ أَمْسَيْنَا وَبِكَ نَحْيَا وَبِكَ نَمُوتُ وَإِلَيْكَ النُّشُورُ

Allahumma bika asbahna wa bika amsayna wa bika nahya wa bika namutu wa ilayka an-nushur

"O Allah, by You we enter the morning and by You we enter the evening, by You we live and by You we die, and to You is the resurrection."

Evening Remembrance

Abu Dawud 5068

اللَّهُمَّ بِكَ أَمْسَيْنَا وَبِكَ أَصْبَحْنَا وَبِكَ نَحْيَا وَبِكَ نَمُوتُ وَإِلَيْكَ الْمَصِيرُ

Allahumma bika amsayna wa bika asbahna wa bika nahya wa bika namutu wa ilayka al-masir

"O Allah, by You we enter the evening and by You we enter the morning, by You we live and by You we die, and to You is the final return."

Master of Istighfar — Sayyid al-Istighfar

Bukhari 6306

اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ خَلَقْتَنِي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ وَأَنَا عَلَىٰ عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ أَبُوءُ لَكَ بِنِعْمَتِكَ عَلَيَّ وَأَبُوءُ بِذَنْبِي فَاغْفِرْ لِي فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

Allahumma anta rabbi la ilaha illa anta, khalaqtani wa ana abduka, wa ana ala ahdika wa wa'dika mastata'tu, a'udhu bika min sharri ma sana'tu, abu'u laka bini'matika alayya, wa abu'u bidhanbī, faghfir li, fa'innahu la yaghfiru adh-dhunuba illa anta

"O Allah, You are my Lord. There is no god but You. You created me and I am Your servant. I am upon Your covenant and promise as much as I am able. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge Your favour upon me and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me, for indeed none forgives sins except You."

Protection from All Harm

Abu Dawud 5088

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ

Bismillahil-ladhi la yadurru ma'asmihi shay'un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama'i wa huwas-sami'ul-'alim

"In the name of Allah, with Whose name nothing is harmed on earth nor in the heavens, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing."

Seeking Refuge — Ayat al-Kursi

Quran 2:255

اللَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ ۚ لَا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلَا نَوْمٌ

Allahu la ilaha illa huwal-hayyul-qayyum, la ta'khudhuhu sinatun wa la nawm

"Allah — there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep."

Protection for Family

Ibn Majah 3525

أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ

A'udhu bikalimatillahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq

"I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created."

Before Sleeping

Bukhari 6313

اللَّهُمَّ بِاسْمِكَ أَمُوتُ وَأَحْيَا

Allahumma bismika amutu wa ahya

"O Allah, in Your name I die and I live."

💙 Forgiveness & Repentance

Du'a for Forgiveness

Tirmidhi 3537

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي

Allahumma innaka 'afuwwun tuhibbul-'afwa fa'fu 'anni

"O Allah, You are Pardoning and You love pardon, so pardon me."

Seeking Allah's Mercy

Quran 7:23

رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَا أَنفُسَنَا وَإِن لَّمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ

Rabbana zhalamna anfusana wa in lam taghfir lana wa tarhamna lanakunanna minal-khasirin

"Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers." — Du'a of Adam & Hawwa ع

Complete Istighfar

Muslim 2702

أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ الْعَظِيمَ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ

Astaghfirullaha al-'azheema al-ladhi la ilaha illa huwal-hayyul-qayyumu wa atubu ilayh

"I seek forgiveness from Allah the Magnificent, besides Whom none has the right to be worshipped except He, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer, and I repent to Him."

Du'a for Rizq

Tirmidhi 3563

اللَّهُمَّ اكْفِنِي بِحَلَالِكَ عَنْ حَرَامِكَ وَأَغْنِنِي بِفَضْلِكَ عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ

Allahummakfini bihalalaika 'an haramika wa aghnini bifadhlika 'amman siwak

"O Allah, suffice me with what You have allowed instead of what You have forbidden, and make me independent of all others besides You."

Opening of Doors

Quran 65:3

وَمَن يَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ فَهُوَ حَسْبُهُ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بَالِغُ أَمْرِهِ

Wa man yatawakkal 'alallahi fahuwa hasbuhu, innallaha balighu amrih

"And whoever relies upon Allah — then He is sufficient for him. Indeed, Allah will accomplish His purpose."

Du'a for Healing — Ruqyah

Bukhari 5743

اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ النَّاسِ أَذْهِبِ الْبَأْسَ وَاشْفِ أَنْتَ الشَّافِي لَا شِفَاءَ إِلَّا شِفَاؤُكَ شِفَاءً لَا يُغَادِرُ سَقَمَاً

Allahumma Rabban-nas, adhhibilba'sa washfi, antash-Shafi, la shifa'a illa shifa'uk, shifa'an la yughadiru saqama

"O Allah, Lord of the people, remove the hardship and grant healing, for You are the Healer. There is no healing except Your healing, a healing that leaves no illness behind."

When Visiting the Sick

Abu Dawud 3107

لَا بَأْسَ طَهُورٌ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ

La ba'sa, tahurun insha'Allah

"Do not worry, it is a purification, if Allah wills."

Du'a for Wisdom — Sulayman ع

Quran 27:19

رَبِّ أَوْزِعْنِي أَنْ أَشْكُرَ نِعْمَتَكَ الَّتِي أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيَّ وَعَلَىٰ وَالِدَيَّ وَأَنْ أَعْمَلَ صَالِحًا تَرْضَاهُ وَأَدْخِلْنِي بِرَحْمَتِكَ فِي عِبَادِكَ الصَّالِحِينَ

Rabbi awzi'ni an ashkura ni'mataka allati an'amta 'alayya wa 'ala walidayya wa an a'mala salihan tardahu wa adkhilni birahmatika fi 'ibadikash-shalihin

"My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favour which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents, and to do righteousness of which You approve. And admit me by Your mercy into the ranks of Your righteous servants."

Du'a for Good in Dunya & Akhirah

Quran 2:201

رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ

Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil-akhirati hasanatan wa qina 'adhaban-nar

"Our Lord, give us in this world good and in the Hereafter good, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire."

Du'a of Ibrahim ع — Children & Prayer

Quran 14:40

رَبِّ اجْعَلْنِي مُقِيمَ الصَّلَاةِ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِي ۚ رَبَّنَا وَتَقَبَّلْ دُعَاءِ

Rabbij'alni muqimas-salati wa min dhurriyyati, rabbana wa taqabbal du'a

"My Lord, make me an establisher of prayer, and from my descendants. Our Lord, and accept my supplication."

Du'a of Yunus ع — From Darkness

Quran 21:87

لَّا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا أَنتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ

La ilaha illa anta subhanaka inni kuntu minazh-zhalimin

"There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers."

Du'a of Ayyub ع — In Hardship

Quran 21:83

أَنِّي مَسَّنِيَ الضُّرُّ وَأَنتَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ

Anni massaniyad-durru wa anta arhamur-rahimin

"Indeed, adversity has touched me, and You are the Most Merciful of the merciful."

Du'a of Musa ع — Seeking Help

Quran 28:24

رَبِّ إِنِّي لِمَا أَنزَلْتَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَقِيرٌ

Rabbi inni lima anzalta ilayya min khayrin faqir

"My Lord, indeed I am, for whatever good You would send down to me, in need."

Before Eating

Abu Dawud 3767

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَعَلَى بَرَكَةِ اللَّهِ

Bismillahi wa 'ala barakatillah

"In the name of Allah and with the blessing of Allah."

After Eating

Tirmidhi 3458

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَنَا وَسَقَانَا وَجَعَلَنَا مُسْلِمِينَ

Alhamdulillahil-ladhi at'amana wa saqana wa ja'alana muslimin

"Praise be to Allah Who has fed us and given us drink, and made us Muslims."

Entering the Home

Abu Dawud 5096

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَ الْمَوْلِجِ وَخَيْرَ الْمَخْرَجِ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَلَجْنَا وَبِسْمِ اللَّهِ خَرَجْنَا وَعَلَى اللَّهِ رَبِّنَا تَوَكَّلْنَا

Allahumma inni as'aluka khayral-mawliji wa khayral-makhraji, bismillahi walajna wa bismillahi kharajna wa 'alallahi rabbina tawakkalna

"O Allah, I ask You for the best entrance and the best exit. In the name of Allah we enter, in the name of Allah we leave, and upon Allah our Lord we rely."
