1. Acceptance of Terms
By using Ameen, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and anyone who submits content.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Ameen, including any content, features, and services offered on or through ameens.app (the "Service"). Please read these Terms carefully before using the Service.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify users of material changes by posting a notice on the platform.
2. Description of the Service
Ameen is a free, community-driven platform that allows Muslim users to share du'as (supplications) anonymously or with their name, and allows other users to express Ameen (agreement in prayer) in support.
The Service is provided free of charge. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice, without liability to you.
We make no guarantee that the Service will be available 100% of the time. Scheduled and unscheduled downtime may occur.
3. Accounts & Registration
You do not need to create an account to submit or view du'as. If you choose to create an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful information during registration
- Keep your password secure and confidential
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account
- Take responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
You may not create accounts for others without their explicit permission, nor create accounts using automated means (bots, scrapers, etc.).
4. Your Content
Ownership
You retain ownership of any du'as or other content you submit ("User Content"). By submitting content, you grant Ameen a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display your content on the platform for the duration it is active (up to 24 hours).
Responsibility
You are solely responsible for the content you submit. You represent and warrant that your content:
- Does not infringe any third-party intellectual property, privacy, or other rights
- Is not false, misleading, or deceptive
- Complies with our Community Guidelines
- Does not violate any applicable law or regulation
Deletion
Du'as are automatically deleted after 24 hours. You may also request immediate deletion by contacting us at hello@ameens.app.
5. Prohibited Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Submit false, harmful, hateful, or defamatory content
- Harass, threaten, or harm any individual or group
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Distribute spam, malware, or unauthorised advertising
- Attempt to access systems or data you are not authorised to access
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the platform without our written consent
- Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our written consent
- Circumvent any technical measures we use to provide or protect the Service
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
Misuse of this platform — which is a space for sincere prayer — is taken seriously. Violations will result in immediate removal of content and may result in a permanent ban and, where applicable, referral to relevant authorities.
6. Moderation & Enforcement
We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to monitor, review, and remove any User Content at our sole discretion, at any time and without notice, if we believe it violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines.
We may suspend or permanently terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, without liability to you. Decisions made by our moderation team are final.
To report content that violates our guidelines, use the report button on any du'a card, or email moderation@ameens.app.
7. Intellectual Property
The Ameen name, logo, website design, software, and all non-user-generated content are the property of Ameen and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
The globe visualisation, design system, and codebase are proprietary. All rights reserved.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
- Any content submitted by users is accurate, complete, or appropriate
- Any defects in the Service will be corrected
Ameen is a community platform. We are not a religious authority and nothing on this platform constitutes fatwa, religious rulings, or scholarly advice.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Ameen and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or emotional distress, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the past 12 months (which, given our free service, is zero).
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. If you have an account, you may delete it by contacting us at hello@ameens.app.
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.
Upon termination, all provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive will survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and if necessary, through binding arbitration.
We respect the diversity of our global Ummah. Users from all jurisdictions are welcome, and we endeavour to comply with applicable local laws.
